How do I know if my
college credits or the real estate courses I have taken meet the
requirements? Once you have taken at least one
core course and/or when you have a copy of your college transcript, send a
COPY of the course completion certificate and/or a COPY of your college
transcript to the Texas Real Estate Commission. A special form, the
REQUEST FOR EVALUATION OF EDUCATION DOCUMENTS, must be submitted with
your course completion certificate and/or college transcript. In addition, a
$30 processing fee must be included. (The fee is good for one year.) Once
the Commission has processed your education documents, you will be mailed an
official response that states how many hours of credit you have been granted
and how many hours of credit that must be completed before you may apply for
your license. While you are waiting for your response from the Commission,
you may begin (or continue) taking the mandatory core courses. The
processing time for an education evaluation is 2 - 3 weeks.
All education credits and documents must be
evaluated before you can apply for your license.
